“For 17 years I was an award-winning journalist at The Daily Telegraph. For the latter seven years, I was the Deputy City Editor and earlier in my career I spent three years working in America as the New York Business Correspondent.

I regularly wrote, under The Kate Rankine Interview, 1300 word profiles of leading business people. I knew I loved business and I was fascinated by business leaders - what made them tick, why some flourished, why others failed - and in the course of those 17 years I gained fantastic insights.

I then decided I wanted to be part of business rather than observing it and given my exposure to the inner working of business management, I thought about headhunting and I decided to join JCA.

I asked several FTSE 100 Chairmen and CEOs for their thoughts on the UK’s top headhunters and everyone really rated Jan Hall. Then I met the JCA team, and I thought that they were fabulous too. I still do.

I graduated from the University of East Anglia with a BA in Politics and American History. I also have a Diploma in Newspaper Journalism from City University. I joined JCA in April 2006.”
