“I embarked on a new chapter in my career in 2005 when I left my full-time executive role in the Cabinet Office as the Group HR Director for the UK civil service. Since then, I have combined non-executive roles on publicly quoted company Boards (BAA plc and Taylor Nelson Sofres plc), with membership of Oxford University Council and practicing as an executive coach. Coaching over the last 3 years has led to work on top team development and coaching, consultancy (especially on the development of women) and most recently, training would-be business coaches at Meyler Campbell.

My clients – men and women - come from a wide range of roles and organisation in the private and wider public sectors. Some are Chief Executives and some are high flyers on their way up. I help them change the way they think about things, including themselves, and to act on that to transform their performance. This is hugely enjoyable.

I am lucky to be with JCA. It is a small, quality, flexible organisation and I admire my colleagues, Jan Hall, Peter Hogarth (who coached me to open my eyes to life beyond the civil service) and Kenneth MacLennan immensely."
